Sharing Culture Through Dance
OUR VALUES AND RULES
Respect
Treat everyone with kindness, courtesy, and respect, fellow dancers, mentors, and instructor and director alike. At Ballet Mexico Lindo of Alberta, we come together to share our culture through dance under the guidance of the Director and Instructor Gabriela Jessome.
During class time, the focus must remain on dance, learning, and artistic expression. Personal conversations or unrelated matters should be reserved for outside class hours to maintain a positive and productive environment.
Follow the directions of your Director and Instructor Gabriela Jessome with an open and cooperative attitude. If you have any concerns or disagreements, address them privately and respectfully with the Director, outside of class. All members are expected to always maintain healthy and respectful boundaries.
Respect also means arriving on time, being attentive during practice, and valuing each person’s contribution to the group.
Humility
Stay grounded. Remember that no one is more important than anyone else. We all learn from one another. Accept mistakes as opportunities for growth and remain open to feedback. Focus on helping the group shine together rather than seeking individual recognition.

Happiness
Bring your best energy to every class. Happiness is a choice and an attitude. Leave personal frustrations and negativity outside the dance floor, and let your joy, smile, and enthusiasm uplift others. A happy dancer inspires the whole group.
Love
Show compassion, empathy, and kindness to others. Love means wishing happiness and success for your fellow dancers and being considerate toward everyone. Remember that we are part of a community where care, encouragement, and mutual support strengthen our bond.

Faith
Maintain a positive mindset and believe in your own growth and the group’s success. What we focus on, we attract, so
Kinship
Build strong, trusting, and respectful relationships within the dance group. Encourage one another, celebrate others’ achievements, and maintain healthy boundaries. Teamwork and mutual support are the rhythm that keep us dancing in harmony.

Keep a clean mind, body, and spirit. Refrain from gossip or negative talk, talking about others behind their backs is considered negative and will not be tolerated. Take good care of your costumes and props; ensure they are always clean, organized, and well presented. A clean space, appearance, and attitude reflect pride and professionalism.

Thankfulness
Be grateful for your talents, opportunities, and the people around you. Remember that each member contributes to the group’s success.
Express appreciation for your teacher, teammates, and the chance to dance together. Gratitude brings joy and harmony to our collective journey.
Sharing
Generously share your time, knowledge, and experience with others. Support your fellow dancers, especially new members, and contribute to the collective learning of the group. When we share, we strengthen the spirit of unity and growth.

Strength
Never give up. Embrace challenges with courage and determination. Value lifelong learning, stay curious, ask questions, and seek continuous improvement. True strength lies in perseverance and the willingness to keep growing, both as a dancer and as a person.
Accountability
All members are expected to uphold these values and follow the group rules at all times. Breaking any of the rules above may result in dismissal from the group, as maintaining a respectful, positive, and supportive environment is essential to our shared success and harmony.
